Review and Planning Coordination

At the University of Liverpool, the implementation of the Concordat was overseen by the Concordat Implementation Group (CIG) between 2011-2017. Following a restructuring of the University’s development functions and the appointment of a new PVC Research & Impact, the existing CIG formally transitioned into a new Concordat Steering Group (CSG) as of November 2017. The CSG's Terms of Reference are reviewed on an annual basis and the Group's membership - including minimum 6 research staff representatives - is aligned in response to evolving institutional priorities and sectoral trends. The most recent review took place in September 2023.

The CSG, chaired by Professor Anthony Hollander, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Impact, meets quarterly with the mandate to drive forward and monitor the successful implementation of the Concordat and the University’s Action Plan.

The CSG reports to the Research and Impact Committee in terms of alignment to other R&I activities, and in turn, reports to Senate and Council, and the Planning and Resources Committee in relation to planning and resource allocation matters. View the CSG Terms of Reference and Membership. The CSG members can be contacted and asked to raise issues that are relevant to the Terms of Reference of the CSG.
