The Medical Research Council Versus Arthritis Centre for Integrated Research into Musculoskeletal Ageing (CIMA)

The Versus Arthritis Centre for Integrated Research into Musculoskeletal Ageing (CIMA) is a collaboration between researchers and clinicians at the University of Liverpool, University of Sheffield and Newcastle University. The Centre, funded by Versus Arthritis, was established in 2012.

The Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science (LCCS) has been formed as a strategic research platform, bringing together world-leading research and clinical specialists in cardiovascular biology and medicine. Experimental Arthritis Treatment Centre for Children (EATC4Children)

 

The Experimental Arthritis Treatment Centre for Children (EATC4C) is a unique consortium delivering translational biomedical research in childhood arthritis and related musculoskeletal disorders. It is the UK’s first and only EATC dedicated to children and was established in 2014.

Global access to a sight-saving therapy for children with arthritis-associated uveitis

Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) affects approximately 10,000 UK children. JIA-associated uveitis can cause partial or complete sight loss. Until now, standard treatments have significant side effects and 50% of cases may be unresponsive.
