Learning and Teaching 2024

Learning and Teaching Conference 2024

The University of Liverpool Learning and Teaching Conference 2024, hosted by the Centre for Innovation in Education, will be held on Thursday 20 June 2024. And the theme is Digital Innovation.

Digital technologies are a core part of the movement to continuously innovate higher education pedagogy. Over the last decade technology has helped to improve and innovate educational techniques, practices and ideas, and has revolutionised how students learn, progress and complete their studies in universities. More widely, it has also helped to improve the inclusivity, accessibility and impact of higher-level study on a global scale.

However, recent substantial shifts in progress have necessitated a renewed focus on the impact technology can have on education, as well as further discussion on how it might develop in future contexts. The advent of Generative Artificial Intelligence, in particular, has posed significant challenges to teaching, learning and assessment, yet also constitutes a substantial opportunity to amend existing, or develop new, teaching practices.

The Learning and Teaching Conference therefore will have a variety of presentations, workshops, and roundtables themed on Digital Innovation in Education. The event will be in-person in HUB502, and during lunch, posters and slideshows from staff and students, as well as projects and displays, will be displayed. Additionally, to our in-person offering, we will host asynchronous content (Digital Demonstrations and Slideshows) on Teams.

Registrations are now open - Book a place at the conference.
