Your Peer Mentor

Every first-year student at the Department of Psychology is assigned a Peer Mentor.

A Peer Mentor is a second or third-year student who will be able to share their experiences of their first year on their university course with you, and who may have faced similar worries, such as how to meet new friends.

Your Peer Mentor can provide you with lots of useful information about your course and the university, as well as information about local resources available in the city of Liverpool such as health care providers.

Lots of students have benefited from the support of Peer Mentors and gave the following feedback about the programme:

"My mentor always seems interested and happy to listen to whatever queries or problems I might have, however silly they might seem to me."

"It was great to talk to someone who had been in my situation before and knew how I felt."

You will find out more about the Peer Mentor programme and who your mentor is during your first week on your course.
