The Student Experience Office (SEO)

The Student Experience Office (SEO) for the School of Psychology is located on the ground floor, directly left as you enter the Eleanor Rathbone Building (ERB).

The SEO team are available Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays).

The teams that make up the SEO are divided into Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Assessment teams. The DClin team are also based in the ERB SEO. This means that there is a dedicated team, depending on your level of study and specific query.

Jamie Navarro (jnavarro@liverpool.ac.uk) is our Learning and Teaching Support Officer (LTSO) for Psychology students and can help you to overcome obstacles to your progress while you are studying for your degree. Jamie provides practical advice on issues such as extenuating circumstances, pastoral support and also helps students achieve their short and medium-term goals through coaching.

If you are experiencing difficulties with any aspect of University life, you can discuss any issues with Jamie, who can also signpost to academic staff, the Disability Support Team, Financial Support Team, Counselling Service and the Careers & Employability Service.  

 

Ask at reception if you need to speak to a member of staff from a specific team. Help and guidance includes but is not limited to: 

  • Recording an absence or requesting guidance around attendance related matters 
  • Coursework and Exams including EC’s, Late Penalties, re-sits (Assessment team) 
  • Signposting support if you are experiencing personal or academic issues  
  • Queries relating to your course and signposting the best person or department for specific queries or issues

If you have any queries or concerns, please do come to our reception in the Eleanor Rathbone building where our friendly team will be happy to help.
