What parking facilities are there at The Walton Centre?

See our Contact Us page for a map and details of where to park.

How do I know my place on the course is secure?

Once you have booked and paid for your place, you will receive a booking confirmation email from the University of Liverpool's online store. Please do check your junk mail, as sometimes it can be filtered into this part of your mailbox.

One week before the course you will receive an email from Claire O'Brien, the Course Coordinator, with details of the confirmed programme, location and start and finish times.

Do you have a waiting list?

Yes, once we have reached capacity for the course the waiting list will open. If we receive any cancellations before the event we will contact those on the waiting list. If you do not get a place on the course, we will email those on the waiting list with details of the next course before the booking page goes live.

I can no longer attend the course, how do I cancel my place?

We follow the policy held by the University of Liverpool for running courses and events, if you decide to cancel your place ahead of the planned date you may receive a refund (either in full or in part) depending on the date that you cancel.

  • Cancellation one month before the date - you will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellation less than one month but more than one week before the date - 50% will be refunded.

However, if you cancel with less than a week to the course date we will be unable to grant you a refund. You will however be offered a place on the next upcoming NeuroPACES course.

Contact Claire O'Brien at Claire.OBrien@liverpoolft.nhs.uk with details of the course you have booked onto so she can cancel your place and refund you accordingly, see details above.

Please visit the Terms and Conditions of the University of Liverpool's online store for further details. Click on the link and scroll down to Section IV: https://payments.liv.ac.uk/help/terms-and-conditions

Does the course cover fundoscopy or ophthalmic signs?

We do have a few stations that cover eye movement abnormalities and often a fundoscopy station, however this is variable depending on the patients who can attend for each cycle and so cannot be guaranteed. It is likely that we will cover some ophthalmology though this will only be from a neurology perspective.
