Students gathered in the common area

Learning community

Liverpool’s School of Medicine student doctors join a large network of colleagues for life, and their development is supported by a skilled team.

Academic support

Students are supported throughout their course by their Academic Advisors and also benefit from the School’s peer mentoring scheme, which links them to students in a later year to meet with and discuss their studies.

Societies

A large number of medical student societies (link) provide specialist interest groups and expand our student’s range of interests beyond the curriculum content.

Employability

The School also provides a dedicated careers advisor who delivers one-to-one advice, along with organising career fairs and events, which allow students to explore the broad range of employment opportunities that follow a Liverpool MBChB degree.

Peer Mentor Scheme

The School's Peer Mentor Scheme provides Year 1 student doctors with support as they settle into their studies and the community here at the School of Medicine. There are several different mentor programmes available, and this support runs throughout your time at The School of Medicine.
