Impacts 08
Impacts 08 is a joint research initiative of the University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University, which from 2005-2010 evaluated the social, cultural, economic and environmental effects of Liverpool’s hosting the European Capital of Culture title in 2008.
Commissioned by Liverpool City Council, the research programme examined the progress and impact of this experience on the city and its people. We developed a model for evaluating the multiple impacts of culture-led regeneration programmes that can be applied to events across the UK and internationally.
