    About

    Personal Statement

I am a community and ecosystem ecologist interested in how biological systems are structured, maintained and how they respond to disturbances & environmental change. Current research in the lab includes quantifying the role of biodiversity in ecosystem functioning (particularly social insects, ants and termites), exploring the process of community assembly and promoting the conservation of tropical grassy biomes. We work in a range of environments but mostly in the tropics and sub-tropics, from montane grasslands, to rainforests, to savannas.
