Unusually for a Higher Education department of English, we combine the study of language, literature and creative writing in highly flexible, imaginatively taught programmes. Our NSS (National Student Survey) score for overall satisfaction has averaged 93% over the past four years.
Typically over 90% of our undergraduate students achieve a first class or 2:1 degree and we see high completion rates from our large postgraduate masters and doctoral student community.
