Description
The ENZACT Prosperity Partnership is led by UCL and brings together five Universities and two major MNCs. The Liverpool component of ENZACT is focussed on enzymatic sulfation. This PhD studentship will aim to engineer polysaccharide sulfotransferases with respect to the sulfate donor and the sugar acceptor sites. The project will combine bioinformatics, protein design, expression and analysis. The nine ENZACT studentships will run as a cohort, and so providing the PhD students a unique opportunity to interact across the disciplines represented within ENZACT.
