Climate change is one of our greatest long-term challenges.

Increasing global temperatures will bring changes to weather patterns, rising sea levels and more frequent and intense extreme weather events. These changes will affect our lives in many ways.

Two of the most important, food production and health, will be directly affected by the climate-change-driven emergence and spread of infectious diseases.

A Leverhulme Trust Research Leadership Award established the Liverpool University Climate and Infectious Diseases of Animals (LUCINDA) group, which focuses on the future impact of climate change on infectious diseases of animals.
