    Personal Statement

    Prof Eyre graduated BA in Ancient Egyptian with Akkadian, and DPhil specialising in the texts and social history of Ramesside Thebes, with a dissertation on employment and labour relations in the Valley of the Kings. He has worked frequently on epigraphic projects, recording the decoration and texts in tombs of different periods at Saqqara and in the temple of Sety I at Abydos.
