Mount Elbert (14,433 feet). The highest 14er but one of the simpler ones. Owen was eight years old and did it quite easily (1993).

Mt Sneffels (14150 ft) is a bit tougher, and a more interesting one. From the col near the summit there was a short snow gully ascent followed by a minor rock scramble to a small and very attractive top. This picture shows part of the SW ridge.

The view from Sneffels summit. In the foreground is Kismet (13694 ft).

The summit of Mt Princeton, with Howie Haber, Julia and Joe Lykken (2003).

The Wetterhorn, climbed with Jim Randa, September 2005. My toughest and most interesting 14er so far.
