Research Subjects - Computational Mathematics
Our work are centred on development and analysis of numerical methods
for PDE's and integral equations that arise from
practical engineering applications. Particular interests in
fast solvers and software implementations can be accommodated.
Prospective students should enquire about next year's studentships
as soon as possible.
Then a suitable application can be made on your behalf, e.g.
EPSRC awards, University awards, ORS awards as appropriate.
Most projects in computational PDE's involve practical
applications such as arc modelling,
semiconductor diffusion and wave scattering.
An alternative project title will be ``Boundary elements methods for nonlinear PDE's''
which involves integral equations,
adaptive methods, wavelets and radial functions.
Collaborations with Universities of Salford and Reading plus companies
(eg. Shell, NGC) are expected.
