Adult Dependants’ grant |
The Adult Dependants’ Grant is available for students who have an adult who is financially dependent on them. The grant is worth up to £3,263 a year and you don’t usually have to pay it back; the grant is paid in 3 instalments. The Adult Dependant’s Grant will affect the amount of any means-tested welfare benefits. |
Childcare grant |
The Childcare Grant is a payment that covers up to 85% of your childcare costs. It’s based on your household income and childcare costs. You don’t usually have to pay it back and it won’t affect the amount of any welfare benefits. If eligible, you can get up to:

Parents’ Learning Allowance |
