School of Medical Education
The Liverpool Royal Institution School of Medicine and Surgery was founded in 1834, forty seven years before the establishment of the University of Liverpool in 1881.
The School of Medical Education, based in Cedar House was created in 2004 when the Faculty of Medicine was reorganised, and is responsible for the delivery of undergraduate medical education..
Education

The course is innovative and demanding, using
problem based learning as a key innovative feature. Undergraduate and Postgraduate medicine work closely together and the school has close links with the Mersey Deanary and National Health Service.
