This will be done through a series of lectures and seminars. The aim is to give the students experience in the use of relational databases and large data warehouses through practical sessions and group discussions based on clinical scenarios.

Learning Outcomes

Have a knowledge of databases and be able to develop a database structure to meet a clinical need.

Have the ability to implement SQL and data mining strategies on large data sets.

Summarise and present data from large clinical data sets
