To carry out further detailed work on aspects of neutron detection. |

Syllabus |
|
1 Further topics in the use of neutron detectors based on the knowledge gained in PHYS807 and an information search on the practical characteristics of commercially available neutron detectors. This will concentrate on finding solutions to applied problems in the nuclear industry. The written report will cover this work and the solution to an agreed applied neutron detection problem including modelling the situation. |
