Aims |
|
To further develop standard of practical performance. To expand knowledge of repertory. To encourage critical thinking about concepts and methods of practice. To further develop the acuity of professional attitudes and skills with regard to practice and performance and with a particular attention to details of listening and intonation. To equip the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed decisions regarding intonation in their own practice and performance. |

Syllabus |
|
The syllabus is directed towards the summative public recital examination at the end of Semester 2. This consists of the performance of a balanced programme of classical pieces lasting a total of 20 minutes. In addition, students are required to attend workshops and participate in the seminars, including online as appropriate, as part of the continuous assessment for the module. Student assessments are supported by professional accompanists (if required) and the professional accompanist will be assigned by the Head of Classical Music Performance. |
