Aims |

To develop accuracy and fluency in notation. To realise practical knowledge of instruments in relation to different orchestration and aranging tasks. To refine and expand knowledge of a range of contemporary music styles and approaches. Develop self critical skills. |

Syllabus |

Writing for piano and keyboard instruments. Writing for drum kit and other unpitched percussion. Writing for guitar, electric guitar and bass. Writing for the saxophone family and jazz wind ensemble. Orchestrational strategies of varying texture. Orchestrational strategies of varying character. |
