Aims |

To enable students to further develop their group rehearsal skills to a professional level of competency To enable students to develop group performance skills to a profssional standard To consolidate an advanced level of instrumental or vocal technique and the ability to perform with confidence and fluency To help students to demonstrate a greater awareness of the issues that support the performance of popular music |

Syllabus |
|
A series of platform sessions, workshops and tutorials will take place, which will build on the technical, expressive and creative skills developed in the first and second years. Through further use of student-led learning activities, students will explore such topics as: group dynamics, ensemble skills, stagecraft, exploring different textures, and individual musical skills such as improvisation, accompanying, developing a coherent musical performance set, and using backing vocals. In addition, students receive further individual instrumental tuition, tailored to the students’ individual needs, building on existing technical, expressive and creative skills. |
