Aims |

To introduce the constitutional and institutional law of the European Union; |
Learning Outcomes |

(LO1) Demonstrate a basic understanding of the constitutional and institutional law of the European Union. |

(LO3) Handle Union legal materials, including the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union, EU Treaties and Union legislation. |

Outline syllabus: Institutional Architecture of the EU: historical development and basic structure of the European Union from the founding EEC Treaty to present; composition and functions of main Union institutions; inter-institutional balance in the adoption of legislative measures, and in their implementation; |
