This module is taught through 24 general language classes, which include reading, writing, listening and speaking exercises and grammar teaching and practice. Students have a chance to consolidate and practice the structures and vocabulary acquired in conversation, discussions, short presentations and short writing and note taking exercises. Chinese will be the main language of teaching in class. Students are expected to attend all classes, to hand in homework and the portfolio on time and to work through the assigned exercises independently. The module offers much accompanying material, including online resources, which can be used for independent study in the library. Regular feedback forms an integral part of the module. The majority of teaching will be delivered face-to-face on campus. Online delivery will be used to complement the on-campus delivery and where technology affords a better learning experience. |
