Seminar:
The module is taught through 22 general language classes, 10 listening comprehension classes in the language laboratory and 11 conversation classes. Feedback on the assignment and progress in class and a discussion of language learning strategies takes place in individual tutorials in the tutorial week. During the conversation hour students consolidate and practice the structures and vocabulary acquired so far. German will be the main language of teaching in class. Students are expected to attend all classes, to hand in homework and the assignment on time and to work through the exercise books independently. Regular individual feedback forms an integral part of the module. The module offers much accompanying material, including cd's and computer software, which can be us ed for independent study in the library. Students on this module are strongly encouraged to enrol for the conversation exchange scheme, in order to further their communicative German skills.

Tutorial:
Individual (15 minute) tutorials are available in tutorial week where you will receive feedback on your progress so far and have an opportunity to discuss your learning strategies.
