Aims |

To equip final year students with sophisticated expressive skills in the area of formal text production on an advanced level in a variety of genres; To provide translations skills in different styles, registers and genres; To develop grammar skills to an advanced level; To develop advanced listening skills; To develop speaking and presentation skills. To deepen interpreting competence. |

Teaching and Learning Strategies |
|
The majority of teaching will be delivered face-to-face on campus. Online delivery will be used to complement the on-campus delivery and where technology affords a better learning experience. Teaching method: seminar. |
Syllabus |
|
Students will learn how to write specific text-types each of which demands a particular form, style, register and vocabulary. Students will continue to develop their translating and basic interpreting skills. The module also tackles diverse points of higher sentence grammar and students will read extensive texts of high standard language level. Finally, students will improve listening comprehension and speaking skills. |
