Aims

Consolidate and extend students' existing language skills;

Provide an excellent command of Catalan grammar and of oral and written communication skills;

Encourage regular independent language learning throughout the module;

Enable students to develop useful language learning strategies and a reflective approach.


Learning Outcomes

(LO1) Apply advanced listening, reading, writing and speaking skills in the target language.

(LO2) Understand any kind of Catalan text other than those demanding some kind of specialised knowledge.

(LO3) Express themselves in writing at the same level with complete orthographical and morphological correctness and adequate syntactical sophistication.

Teaching and Learning Strategies

Teaching Method 1 - Seminar
Description: In all face-to-face sessions the focus is on the development of the four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. The material used has been designed to enable students to practise one or more of the skills. Modern computer-mediated activities will be used.

Different structures with the subjunctive.
