Aims |

To provide students with competence in reading, writing, listening and speaking Portuguese at B1 level according the Common European Framework of Reference; To provide students with a solid understanding of basic and complex structures of Portuguese grammar; To develop students' language learning strategy use and a reflective approach towards language learning; To explore aspects of contemporary Portuguese-speaking culture through the medium of Portuguese. |

Topics covered during the module will include: The past tenses: Preterite and imperfect; The subjunctive mood: Present, future, imperfect tenses. The perfect subjunctive and pluperfect; The passive voice and the particle ‘se’; Relative pronouns. |
