Aims

To provide students with basic competence in reading, writing, listening and speaking Catalan;

To provide students with a sound understanding of the basic structures of Catalan grammar;

To develop student's language learning strategy use and a reflective approach towards language learning;

To explore aspects of contemporary Catalan culture through the medium of Catalan.

Teaching and Learning Strategies

Teaching Method 1 - Lecture
Description: The methodological approach combines face-to-face classroom methods with the use of technology. In all face-to-face sessions the focus is on the development of the four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. The material used has been designed to enable students to practise one or more of the skills.
