Aims |

Provide students with a sound understanding of the basic structures of Catalan grammar; Develop all the skills necessary to begin to communicate confidently in spoken and written Catalan; Explore aspects of contemporary Catalan culture through the medium of Catalan; Enable students to develop useful language learning strategies and a reflective approach; Develop students' ability to work collaboratively and independently. |

Introductory course in Catalan language (Part One). Our basic purpose is to teach, through a variety of methods, the elementary skills of reading, writing, listening to and speaking in the target language. Alphabet, present, personal pronouns, possessives, articles, interrogatives, apostrophes, nationalities, numbers 0-100, present indicative, reflexives, preterit, imperfect. |
