Aims |

Develop further skills acquired in ITAL256 to enable students to communicate confidently and effectively in spoken and written Italian in a range of formal and informal contexts, including working environments; Consolidate existing knowledge of Italian language including advanced and sophisticated structures; Enable students to develop further their own learning strategies and fosters a reflective approach as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively; Encourage students to explore aspects of contemporary Italian culture and to reflect on some current Italian issues through the medium of Italian in preparation of the Year Abroad. |

This module will examine contemporary topics in Italian life and culture, with a rage that may include: Gender issues in the Italian language,Italian politics and society, Studying and working in Italy, Immigration and emigration. Aspects of grammar may also include elements of Italian syntax. |
