Aims

To equip final year students with sophisticated expressive skills in the area of formal text production on an advanced level in a variety of genres;
To provide translations skills in different styles, registers and genres;
To develop grammar skills to an advanced level;

To develop advanced listening skills;

To develop speaking and presentation skills.

To deepen interpreting competence.

Teaching and Learning Strategies

Seminar:
The module is taught three hours per week. The seminars consist of three weekly language classes, with one hour concentrating on interpreting skills, one hour on writing and oral skills focused on the language of advertising and one hour in translation skills.


Syllabus

 

Students will improve writing, listening comprehension and speaking skills to a high standard language level. Students will continue to develop their translation skills and will acquire basic interpreting skills.
