Aims |
|
To examine the reasons for Henry VIII’s break with Rome. To consider the changing theological context throughout the Tudor period. To explore the nature and extent of Catholic and Non-conformist dissent. |
Learning Outcomes |

(LO1) Students will be able to articulate the reasons for Henry VIII's break with Rome. |

(LO2) Students will be able to contrast the theological implications of the different policies of Edward, Mary and Elizabeth. |

(LO3) Students will possess an understanding of the emergence of the Anglican Church settlement in Elizabeth's reign. |

(LO4) Students will demonstrate an appreciation of the situation of both Catholic and Nonconformist dissent by 1600. |
