Aims

To examine the social impact of each of the religious policies of the Stuart monarchs.

To contrast the theological implications of the different policies of the Stuart rulers.

To assess the positions of the various parties in the Civil War and Commonwealth Period.

To assess the situation after the edict of Toleration in 1689.


Learning Outcomes

(LO1) Students will demonstrate an understanding of the social impact of religious policies during the Stuart period.

(LO2) Students will be able to contrast the theological implications of different religious policies.

(LO3) Students will be able to describe and evaluate the position of various parties in the Civil War and Commonwealth period.

(LO4) Students will possess an understanding of the situation after the Edict of Toleration in 1689.
