Aims

To examine effective techniques for utilizing technical committees, scrutiny & reviews.


Learning Outcomes

An ability to evaluate critically current research and advanced scholarship, formulate questions and explore issues across a broad range of fields.


Syllabus

Critical evaluation of current research and advanced scholarship, formulation of questions and exploration of issues across a broad range of fields.

The role of the committee chair.
Establishing terms of reference.
Organising the committee’s work. 
Managing difficult discussions and decisions. 
Performing effective, high quality and impartial scrutiny & reviews of technical programmes. 
Using questions to identify success, shortfalls and other issues.
