Aims

1) To allow students to gain experience and awareness of the nuclear industry''s operations.

2) To train students in skills required to evaluate and communication scientific and technical information from research investigations.


Learning Outcomes

Ability to prepare and present a short research talk.

Ability to critically analyse a research publication.

Ability to communicate research to the general public


Syllabus

* Synthesis of knowledge of a particular topic and its use in a short research talk.
* Performance of critical analysis of research publications.
* Preparation and presentation of research slides.

* Extraction of the salient points from literature and communication to a lay-audience through a public engagement activity.

Liverpool University staff will assess the posters for Liverpool University students. The remaining assessments are associated with timetabled briefings followed by self-learning exercises and assessments will be conducted by the NGN consortium with representation from the University of Liverpool. Resubmission opportunities for all components will be available only in the following academic year..
