On successful completion of the module, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of integrated multidisciplinary design. |
|
On successful completion of the module, students should be able to demonstrate an ability to design using a systematic approach thereby fully analysing design problems and developing optimal design solutions. |
|
On successful completion of the module, students should be able to demonstrate an ability to define and implement a design and prototyping strategy appropriate to a complex product design project. |
Syllabus |

The first semester will include user research, development of a product design specification (PDS), ideation, concept development, and initial detail design for a proposed ''proof of concept''. 5. The second semester will include any finalisation of the initial design, followed by proof of concept prototyping. 6. Each group will present a working prototype at the end of the module. |
