Teaching and Learning Strategies

The module will be delivered through a combination of tutorials, seminars and group activities, including some local fieldwork to explore the environment around Liverpool and meet other staff and students on the programme.

Five tutorials in small groups will be held each semester, including one 1-to-1 meeting in the tutor's role as Academic Advisor. Tutorials will provide a space for discussion about academic and transferable skills such as essay-writing, presenting information, and looking for jobs and careers.

Additionally, seminars will provide additional opportunities for active learning for some of these activities. One of these will be to provide a space for students to meet third year marine biologists and discuss their approach and experiences throughout their time here.
