Teaching and Learning Strategies |

Teaching Method 1 - Field Work Each student will have a member of academic staff assigned as an ULMS placement supervisor. The tutor will advise students on their assessment requirements and day to day work related issues. Any issues of a more serious nature which arise during the course of the placement will be referred to the Director of Employability and Placements. Each student will be entitled to two placement visits by their ULMS placement supervisor. The visits can take the form of a physical, in-person visit or virtual, online visit depending on the circumstances. Both students and placement tutors will be provided with th e ULMS Placement Handbook to set out their key rights and responsibilities under the placement scheme. In addition to academic supervision, students will have a named line manager in their host organisation who will be responsible for managing the student and will be the first point of liaison with the university.
