Aims |

The aim of the module is to enable to students to relate management to the development of strategy and structure aligned to the environment and to serve organizational performance. Participants will learn about the way in which management thinking has evolved over the last 100 years. Students will gain knowledge of the key functions and activities associated with the practice of modern management in relation to strategy, organization and performance. Students will learn about the way in which context shapes the nature of managerial practices. Students will learn the value of understanding the guiding principles of good managerial practice at a variety of organizational levels. |
