Teaching and Learning Strategies

Teaching Delivery: Mixed, hybrid delivery, with social distancing on campus

Teaching Method 1 - Online Asynchronous Learning Materials
Description: The students will be given directed learning from the e-book to work through, with a structured timetable of when each chapter needs to be completed by. This will be supported by lecturer's notes and short recordings by the lecturer on the topics within the book, as well as podcasts that debrief questions attempted.

Teaching Method 2 - Workshop
Description: Workshop time will be working within teams on assessment-based activities, Students will be directed to work within teams on the business simulation game (see assessments) outside of tutorial time.

Description: Weekly 1 hour session to foster student communit y and engagement by working with others on their ‘active learning’ activities

Description: The module will be assessed through the use of a team-based activity (a business simulation game), which will require students to work outside of class on a regular basis throughout the semester. This should allow students to apply the knowledge gained in lectures to simulated business situations. The module will also be assessed through the use of a mid-term exam. This will ensure that the students have consolidated their personal knowledge gained in lectures and through group work.
