By the end of the module the student will: Have a sound understanding of quantitative research methods used in Management Research; Have a sound understanding of qualitativeresearch methods used in management research; Have the skill to select appropriate methods for their research projects. |
Learning Outcomes |

(LO1) Distinguish the appropriate use of descriptive and inferential statistical techniques for accurate analysis of quantitative data; |

(LO2) Distinguish the appropriate use of various quantitative research designs; |

(LO3) Explain the vocabulary of qualitative inquiry as well as the significance of its basic concepts; |

(LO4) Identify a number of different ways to collect qualitative data (i.e., individual/group interviewing; participant-observer journaling) and compare the relative tradeoffs of each approach; |

(LO5) Compare and contrast the relative advantages/disadvantages of quantitative and qualitative procedures in a variety of research contexts; |

(LO6) Evaluate and critique hypotheses, research designs, research findings, and the theoretical implications of such findings in quantitative and qualitative studies; |
