Aims

Describe the theoretical framework underlying complex adaptive systems;

Examine modern organisations in light of complex adaptive systems theory, particularly along dimensions such as uncertainty, emergent behaviour and self-organisation;

Assess the response of organisations to a variety of environmental 'stimuli' from the perspective of complex adaptive systems theory;

Utilise a complex adaptive systems approach to strategic plannning at one's own organisation.


Learning Outcomes

(LO1) Describe the theoretical framework underlying complex adaptive systems;

(LO2) Examine modern organizations in light of complex adaptive systems theory particularly  along dimensions such as uncertainty, emergent behavior, and self-organization;
