Aims |

The module's aims are: to examine how organisations are changing in practice and what tools and techniques are used by managers to shape the change process and organisations; to assess and understand change management processes to subject these models of change management, transition and innovation to critical scrutiny; to provide frameworks for making sense of new management ideas and approach and their adoption. |

Online (synchronous and asynchronous) Case based learning (asynchronous online) x 7.5 hours Lectures are no longer than one hour blocks and will provide students with the opportunities to engage and discuss. Students will be encouraged to engage in exercises and activities which require them to reflect upon theories, models, concepts and frameworks and to apply these to their own organisation to understand best practice in change management A range of change managers will be invited to provide their perspectives on the challenges and processes involved in change management situations in different contexts. Students will be provided with opp ortunities to develop their understanding by debate and to critically reflect on how they would have addressed these situations. Students will be expected to complete schedule directed module pre-reading, to prepare for some exercises, tasks and assessments during the module and to research, develop and write a final written assessment. In addition to the suggested readings, students might be expected to develop their own reading, research and preparation of topics for the final assessment. |
