Aims

The intention in this module is to develop aspects of the individual urban buildings designed in the course of ARCH403 to a detailed tectonic resolution. Design staff will collaborate with specialists to provide technical support.

Syllabus

 

This module develops aspects of the buildings/ building complexes designed in the course of ARCH403 to a detailed tectonic resolution. Design staff will collaborate with specialists to provide technical support. A technical report might be required outlining the strategy for structure, materials, energy implications, environmental comfort and safety (including fire prevention, escape and disabled access) and, depending on the nature of the brief, detailed investigations will be demanded into acoustics, lighting or heating.
