Dr Hai Hoang Nguyen

Personal Statement

Hai Nguyen is a data scientist working at the Consumer Data Research Centre, University of Liverpool. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham and has been working on various data-driven projects since then. His work covers different aspects of big data analysis such as natural language processing (NLP), location data (GPS traces) and retail models. Recent projects include the Northern Regional Data Facility (http://nrdf.cdrc.ac.uk), Personal Name Classification and Click & Collect user profiling for a big UK high-street retailer. His research interests are mainly on applications of machine learning and data science techniques in the consumer and retail contexts.
