Our Department is highly rated for both teaching and research. In the most recent Research Assessment Exercise (Dec 2008) we are rated as having 75% of academic staff as world leaders or of internationally recognised excellence in research. We consistently achieve the highest ratings in government evaluations of teaching quality.
