Sustainable Fuels
The Cowan group study and develop new catalytic systems for the sustainable production of fuels. Working with partners in academia and industry we seek to generate a fundamental understanding of catalytic mechanisms and then to utilise this in the design of new materials and molecules. Our Projects
The University of Liverpool is proud to host the UK Solar Fuels Network with Prof Alex Cowan as director. We are also leading partners in the SEAFUEL project installing green hydrogen technologies and the UKRI Centre for Circular Chemical Economy.
