City and Film Workshop

A Practice-Based Exploration Of Urban Narratives Wednesday, April 22

This digital film 1 -day workshop (using mobile phones) is open for all students in the School of the Arts and will expose you to a short narrative space experiment that we call “sketching with a camera”.

Held in conjunction with the Libidinal Circuits conference in Liverpool (www.cultureofcities.com) and an accompanying exhibition at FACT in which your film might be shown!

You will learn how the moving image can be used as a medium to identify, explore, and meaningfully express urban phenomena related to themes such as sensuality, desire, hallucinations, fears and transgressions.

No previous skills in filmmaking are required, only your desire to ‘make a movie’. The work-shop will be led by an international team experi-enced in both theory and practice in film and architecture, including:

Prof Andong Lu Nanjing University/China
Prof Richard Koeck University of Liverpool
Pooya Sanjari University of Liverpool

Spaces are limited. Sign up by 01 April 2015
